The Cons of Facebook Marketing for MLM

The-Cons-of-Facebook-Marketing-for-MLMMarketing has always been essential aspect of any business, including MLM.

Businesses can’t thrive or flourish without any efforts exerted to advertise or market.

Traditional marketing includes several simple methods such as distribution of flyers, posting of banners and posters, and face-to-face interaction.

However, the marketing scene has seen several changes as more and more businesses relied on online marketing for their advertising needs. Online marketing is generally simple and inexpensive while reaching a cast audience.

What is more, there are lots of marketing techniques that any individual can use. Facebook marketing is one which you should give a try because of the extreme popularity of the social media site, bringing along numerous benefits.

However, Facebook marketing isn’t perfect. It has limitations that you have to know about for you to have a clearer view of how your MLM traffic generation campaign is doing.

1. The case of “serial likers”.

If you’re using a Facebook page as a springboard towards your blog then you shouldn’t be too happy with the number of likes your page gets. Too many Facebook users just like everything they find on it, but won’t bother much on what the page actually is thus defeating its purpose.

The number of likes for your page doesn’t necessarily reflect the number of people who’ll be visiting your site.

2. Competing with other MLM pages isn’t too easy.

If you resolve to use Facebook for your MLM traffic generation campaign then you first have to compete with other pages in the similar niche which have long been established.

You’ll find this difficult since Facebook often recommends to its users pages which have a huge number of likes and have been established long enough.

More so, there are still other pages that will threaten to drown out your posts in the newsfeed of those who’ve liked your page.

3. Your ads won’t reach everyone.

Facebook only displays ads on homepages of users which have interests in what the ads contain. What is more, you’ll still be competing with other marketers. Facebook can only post as many ads on a user’s homepage so you really aren’t sure if people will be able to view your ads.

4. Ad clicks aren’t always from targeted traffic.

People who aren’t really interested in your business will occasionally stumble and click on your ads. You’ll be paying for your ads even if they don’t reach targeted traffic.

Facebook marketing for MLM can be a little tricky and you have to be aware of all the downsides if you want to succeed with this marketing technique.

In spite of all these loopholes, Facebook marketing is still a great way for you to market your MLM business and products, and even generate traffic for your site. Want to learn more online marketing tips? Click here now!
