As you already know, social media serves as a good platform to generate qualified leads for your MLM business.
Not only does it allow you to reach your target market and pitch your products, it also lets your business blog gain a lot of visibility.
And these are just two of the many benefits of using social media as your marketing platform.
That said, social media has do’s and don’ts when it comes to business marketing and promotions. But for now, let’s focus on the “don’ts.”
1. Spamming
Spamming is a major No-No in social media – be it Facebook, Twitter, or just about any other social networking site. Everybody hates seeing spam in their newsfeed.
So once your target sees that you only use the social network sites to spam links and don’t actually offer value, they will unfollow you faster than you can post another link.
2. Not engaging your followers
Naturally, your followers are your MLM leads. And as both a network marketer and a social media marketer, it’s your job to engage your followers. There are so many ways to do that.
You can host contests, polls, or give away freebies. Or you can start a fruitful discussion that will easily capture the attention of your followers.
Not engaging your followers will more than likely result to them “unfollowing” the social media page of your MLM blog.
3. Not using social media management tools
In social media marketing, it’s important that you have social media management tools at hand to make your MLM marketing strategies more effective.
HootSuite, TweetDeck, Seesmic, and Buffer are just some of the tools that you can use for your social media business pages.
You can use them to schedule your posts so that you don’t have to log on to your social media pages 24/7 just to post an update.
4. Failing to track analytics
Checking the analytics of the social media pages of your MLM blog will help you see the progress of your social media marketing campaign.
Are you gaining followers or losing them by the numbers? How about the traffic of your page? How many visitors or likes are you getting per day?
That’s how useful analytics is. So disregarding it is a grave mistake.
These are just some of the don’ts when using social media as the marketing platform of your MLM blog. As you incorporate it more into your marketing strategies, you’ll learn more about what’s hot and what’s not.
Just make sure that you’re always on the look-out for current trends. After all, you don’t want your MLM blog to get left behind.
