When you’re working on something – be it blog post or simply SEO and driving traffic – you need to focus in order to get your desired results.
Or if you want to reach a deadline you imposed upon yourself, you need to concentrate on the task at hand.
Now how are you going to do that if you keep on getting sidetracked by other things?
What are you going to do if you find yourself procrastinating instead of being productive? No worries.
Here are some useful tips to help you.
Use the first 30 minutes of the day for a strictly work-related activity
What do you do during the first 3o minutes of your day?
No, I don’t mean after you wake up. I’m talking about the moment you sit in front of your computer and have managed to finish all your morning rituals.
So what do you do? Do you get to work immediately? Or do you surf through the internet leisurely?
While there is nothing wrong with using the internet as a pastime, it may affect your productivity if you’re doing it at the time where you’re supposed to work.
Instead of doing it first thing, make sure that you spend the first 3o minutes, or better yet the first hour, of your day doing work-related activities.
Take much needed breaks
Sometimes, the reason why you find yourself procrastinating a lot is because you tend to get burnout with too much work.
You may not be getting enough breaks or rest while you work and that’s a big NO-NO.
Just because you’re working on a deadline doesn’t mean you’ll have to forego taking a rest. Remember that your body needs it.
Otherwise, how are you going to be able to stay productive? How are you going to get the energy you need to keep on working?
Keep that in mind.
Block out distractions
Maybe the problem why you find yourself procrastinatinating a lot is because you let distractions get the better of you.
Remember that they’re called distractions for a reason.
If you let them distract you, then you won’t be able to be productive and finish the tasks that need to be done.
What you need to do is block out every distraction around you.
Unplug from technology, turn off the radio or television, to make sure that you’re focused on your work.
Otherwise, you won’t be accomplishing anything.
