Are you fully focused on your goals?
It’s easy to get distracted when you’re working on your goals. There are days when you don’t feel like working on them.
So to help you with that problem, here are some tips to help you stay focused.
Create a vision board
A vision board is a collage of pictures and images that represent your goals and dreams. When you create a vision board, it helps you to visualize your end goals more clearly.
This will lead to you to take necessary action consistently. Not only that, it also serves to remind you of your goals every day when you see the board.
Create milestones and celebrate them
If you just set one huge goal, it can be discouraging – especially when you don’t achieve it after a short while. When that happens, you may find yourself procrastinating on the goal altogether – which won’t help you at all.
What you need do is break a big goal into smaller goals, so you concentrate on achieving the smaller goals in the short-run.
To further motivate yourself, celebrate each milestones you’ve achieved no matter how small they are.
Track your results
Always track your results. Seeing the improvements you’ve made and the things you managed to achieve will motivate you to keep on going.
Tracking the results of what you do will give you the confirmation that you’re making a difference.
It will let you know whether you’re on track or off track, which in turn lets you know whether to tweak your actions or not.
Say NO to distractions
Do you often put your goals aside for other people or mundane things? It’s okay to do that once or twice, but if you keep doing the whole time, something is seriously wrong.
You set your goals for a reason. You can’t always put off working on them just because you’re always distracted.
Learn to prioritize. Otherwise you’re just slowing down the process.
Document the process
Start a journal documenting your goal pursuit. The best way to do that is to share every milestone on your blog.
Documenting your goal pursuit can be a therapeutic experience. Not only will you be constantly reminded of what needs to be done, you’ll also be motivated to keep on going and to never give up.
This will help you further be focused on your goals.
