When you’re still new to the business of selling and prospecting, you don’t have immediate leads at your disposal, let alone a team to leverage your efforts with. You’ll start from scratch and make use of the limited resources that you currently have. Don’t get discouraged. It’s a normal process in MLM.
Now, if you find it hard to find fresh leads and prospective partners yourself, why not ask for sale referrals instead. You can do this. I’ll walk you through the process.
1. Leverage your existing client base
So your customer base is only composed of ten people and none of them are active network marketers, just buyers. Cheer up! Ask referrals from them. They may know someone who is interested in what you have to offer and that someone may be an ideal MLM partner for you. Of course, you can only use this technique if your client base experienced genuine satisfaction from the products you offer. Since they can testify to the efficacy of what you have to offer, word-of-mouth advertising can work to your advantage.
2. Build associations
Establish alliances – with your local organizations: church, community groups, charities and even small businesses that cater to the same market. Don’t hesitate to build association with them. These are your middlemen to meeting numerous prospects. Introduce your business to these organizations and ask if you can get referrals from them. They may let you hold a business opportunity meeting in their gatherings or give you names that you can market your business to. Of course, this association works both ways. You can’t just ask something from them without giving something back. Give them referrals as well and join in their causes. Participate in their activities. Doing so can easily gain their approval since it’s going to be a win-win situation for both parties. Besides, you’ll never know how much prospects you can meet by simply participating in the event these organizations hold.
3. The Internet
What better source of referrals there is than the internet? Why it’s a perfect place to get the leads you want. You just need to learn how to tap into its potential and voila – unlimited amount of leads. Naturally, you need to acquire the right skills in using the internet. You can’t just dive in without learning the ropes. Arm yourself with the right tools and strategies to prevent from doing the mistakes most inexperienced network marketers did. Learn and educate yourself. The internet is filled with self-help books, mentors and guides that will help you make it big in the industry. Just be careful in doing so. You don’t want to suffer from information over load.
