1. Outsource
When you have so many things to do, the only solution is to outsource.
Seek outside help and delegate tasks accordingly.
You’re no superhuman. You won’t get all things done if you refuse to recognize that you need help.
Find an efficient freelancer to help you with the minor things that you don’t have to do yourself. Then make sure to provide them the resources they need to get things done right.
2. Create to-do lists
There are tasks that are simple and ones that are complex.
You may want to go after the easy ones first and then tackle the complicated ones after.
To stay on top of tasks and to be certain you’re not missing any, make sure to create to-do lists – either manually or digitally.
If some of the tasks are larger, then break them into multiple smaller tasks. Putting a timer on your tasks is also worth considering so that you do not lose focus on other items on your to-do list.
3. Take breaks
How long is your work hours when you get down to it? Eight hours?
Well, if you spend more than 8-10 hours at a desk and without moving around much, then you will notice that you have less energy. Remember that productivity is not measured by the number of hours you sit at a desk. It is measured by how much you get done without sacrificing your health.
Besides, once you take a much-needed break, you’ll notice that you’re fully energized to take on the rest of your tasks.
Now isn’t that convenient?
4. Weed out distractions
If you find that you are really falling behind on your work, then you should consider uninstalling the Facebook and Twitter app from your smartphone. If you’re spending too much time in social networking sites without being productive, that is.
But then, of course, there are many other forms of distractions. Instead of encouraging them when you’re busy working, make sure that you’re away from them.
It’s best that you have a working station you can work on without getting distracted. That will boost your productivity greatly.
5. Set realistic goals
When you’re setting only realistic goals, you’re making sure that you’re being productive all the time just so you can achieve them.
Unlike when you’re setting unrealistic goals – you’ll feel demotivated to continue your tasks and work on your goals.
Also, one of the major reasons why people fail a goals is because they did not set a deadline. Goals have to be very specific and they should be written down.
It is good to get feedback about the goals in order to refine them.
6. Reward yourself
Whether it’s a delicious meal or a good book, a reward for your productive efforts for the day is a must.
This way, you’ll be motivated to keep on working regularly, knowing that you will reward yourself afterwards.
