Backlinks are important in getting traffic – in case you still haven’t figured it out yet.
But I’m not just talking about any backlinks.
I’m talking about quality backlinks.
Or the kind of backlinks that matter.
That said, these are the best practices of backlinking.
1. Killer Content
Writing an amazing, killer content is a sure-fire way of getting backlinks.
If your content is top-notch, you don’t even have to ask for backlinks. Your audience, and maybe even other bloggers, will automatically link to your post.
You won’t have to work hard to get them. So whenever you write a new post, keep in mind the people you’re targeting for backlinking.
And more importantly, do no write fluff content.
2. Blog Commenting
Some blog commenting systems, like Commentluv, allow commenters to link back to their blog.
So if you want to build links for your blog, search for other blogs with commentluv. That way when you publish your comment, the link to your recent post will also be automatically published.
Of course, I don’t have to remind you that your comment needs to be relevant to the post. Otherwise it will only be marked as spam.
3. Forum commenting
Ever participated in forum discussions? Well, you better start now.
Forum commenting is another great way to build backlinks. What you need to do is find forums that allow signature links in them.
For your convenience, find a forum which topic you can relate. Or better yet, forums that are related to your niche.
Just like blog commenting, forums require relevant posts. Otherwise you’ll get booted out.
4. Social Media Marketing
Nowadays, social media marketing is probably the most common way to get backlinks.
All you need to do is create an account, build followers, and start posting away. When links are posted they are clickable, so you won’t have to worry about making them such.
Much like your blog, your social media accounts require follower engagement. So don’t just focus your time in building backlinks. Pay attention to your followers too.
Also, to maximize the possibility of your links getting clicked on, spice up your posts by using variety.
5. Blog Links
What better way to get backlinks than to link to other blogs?
Find blog posts that you think your audience will like to read. And if your next post is related to it, make sure to link to that post.
The more high authority the blog you’re linking to is, the better. Keep that in mind.
